The Patient Participation Group (PPG) is a group of patients registered with the surgery who have no medical training but have an interest in the services provided. The aim of the PPG is to represent patients’ views and cross barriers, embracing diversity and to work in partnership with the surgery to improve common understanding. Our patient group meets every month in the practice. The meetings are on alternate days and times to allow flexibilty in patients attending. We also have a virtual group which is via email if you are not able to attend the meeting in person
Please speak to a member of our reception team if you are interested in joining the group.
Ground Rules
These are important as a point of reference for behaviour for when the group meets. We agreed that the group should not be a forum for pursuing individual personal complaints or agendas, that patient confidentiality is of the utmost importance and that everyone on the PPG should be treated fairly, equally and with respect.
Communication
We aim to make the group as transparent as possible. We will publish minutes of every meeting on this website.
Our first meeting was held in July 2017, but we would dearly like volunteers as we really need comments from our patients about how we best serve you all.
